This system helps to store  and avail  DRR information to the government, development partners and various stakeholders.DRR portal advocates DRR policy instruments to capacity building and from main streaming DRR to awareness generation.

Some of the recent DRR interventions include the National Strategy for Disaster Risk Management [NSDRM], Nepal; Setting-up Emergency Operation enter[EOC], Kathmandu; Identification on Disaster Risk Management/Climate Risk Management Focal Points in each Ministry; Drafting Disaster response and preparedness plan of districts; Drafting Disaster Management Act (in-process) and Nepal Risk Reduction Consortium in 2009 which identified five flagship areas of immediate action, also adding newer disaster preparedness/mitigation communication and technology such as GIS.

The portal also has its own android app through which information access is provided to the stakeholders.
